Nieuw Akademia believes complex problems are best benefited by a multidisciplinary approach. Roughly stated, the scientist distincts between fact and fiction, the artists is able to perceive previously unseen possibilities, the consultant knows how to mobilize the organization. Though roles are clearly defined, starting point will be each discipline is expected to endeavour beyond its boundaries.
Nieuw Akademia feels it can offer a valuable alternative in the field of consultancy, vision development, processes of change, training, inspiration workshops and advice. Nieuw Akademia (est. 2,000) consists of a co-operative and a private company. In response to each problem specifically, out of the network a team is constituted. |

| Nieuw Akademia has worked for Dutch Government Offices, European Public Service Broadcasters, educational bodies and a wide variety of private businesses. Nieuw Akademia also develops projects for the public sphere on its own initiative. |
